Nova Scotia offering immigration to food service workers!

Workers in the food service industry can now apply for the Occupations in Demand PNP in Nova Scotia. They can take the help from Canada immigration consultants in Delhi.

Through its Occupations in Demand stream, Nova Scotia is currently accepting immigration applications from food service workers.

The pandemic had a significant impact on the restaurant business. As a result, there have been Labour shortages in the food service industry in Canada. The province of Nova Scotia is no exception.

To solve the problem, Nova Scotia expanded its Occupations in Demand immigration programme to include three new occupations. They're listed in alphabetical order by National Occupational Classification (NOC) code:

  1. NOC 6513 (Food and beverage servers)
  2. NOC 6711 (Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers and related support occupations)
  3. NOC 6731 (Light duty cleaners)

Employers will not be required to do a Labour Market Impact Assessment in order to hire these personnel (LMIA). According to the media release, the employee will not be required to work for the company for six months before applying to Nova Scotia's Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

In a statement, Nova Scotia's immigration minister, Jill Balser, said, "We're excited to welcome individuals who can assist employers meet their Labour demands and grow Nova Scotia's population." "Our economy relies heavily on the tourism, restaurant, and hospitality industries. These improvements will make it easier for these companies to hire the workers they require in order to prepare for a busy tourist season."

The Occupations in Demand stream in Nova Scotia focuses on certain occupations that fall into NOC skill levels C and D. Historically, these vocations have been referred regarded as "low-skilled" or "unskilled," but since the epidemic, they have been referred to as "vital."

Nova Scotia's population reached an all-time high of 992,055 people on July 1, which the province attributes to increased immigration.
