Which is the ideal pathway to move to Canada from India?

The majority of newcomers to Canada are welcomed under economic immigration programmes each year. You can consult consultant Canada immigration for the same. Express Entry is a primary conduit through which Canada administers all PR applications from skilled foreign workers under the following economic immigration categories:

  1. Federal Skilled worker Program
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program
  3. Canadian Experience Class

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) candidates have the highest percentage of successful newcomers from India among the three programmes stated above. In fact, the FSWP accounted for over half of all Express Entry invites issued to Indian nationals in 2019.

It's an excellent option for people who have no existing ties to Canada, such as a job offer from a Canadian employer, previous studies completed in Canada, or relatives living in the country. Before applying for the application consult the consultant Canada immigration.

Let us know more about Federal Skilled Worker Program in a little detail

FSWP Program Criteria

You must meet minimum eligibility standards in terms of years of skilled job experience, education level, and language competence to be eligible for FSWP (English or French).

  1. Skilled work experience

You must have a minimum of one year of continuous skilled work experience in an occupation classed as NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B during the last ten years, or an equivalent amount of part-time experience in an occupation classified as NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B.

  1. English or Language proficiency

You must score at least a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 in an IRCC certified language test to meet a minimum requirement for language proficiency.

  1. Level of education

You must hold a high school diploma, either from your home country or from Canada. If you have received foreign education, for example, you must submit an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) Report to demonstrate that your education meets Canadian requirements.

If you match the aforementioned criteria, your application will be evaluated based on six selection factors, and you will be given a score out of 100 on the FSW eligibility points grid.

At present you need 67 points out of 100 to be eligible for the program. The following are the 6 main factors:

  1. Education (maximum 25 points)
  2. Language proficiency (maximum 28 points)
  3. Age (maximum 12 points)
  4. Work experience (maximum 15 points)
  5. Arranged employment (maximum 10 points)
  6. Adaptability (maximum 10 points)

Total of all the above mentioned factors is 100.
